FAITH: BOLDNESS IN OUR ONENESS WITH CHRIST

1 John 4:17: Explains that the love of God was demonstrated by God sending his son to die, was buried and he was raised. All that happened with us and for us.

The word “our love perfected” in that scripture tells us that this is how God carried out his love, it means this is what the love of God was able to do for us.

The full expression of the love of God to us is that it will make us fearless and produce boldness in us. The father intends that once his love is demonstrated, the aftermath should produce bold men.

We understand that the faith of the Son of God is the gospel and that produces faith and that faith means boldness in oneness.

Men will be bold as a result of their

understanding of what the Father has done through Christ for us.

There should be a level of boldness we should walk with after understanding that we died, we were buried and we were raised with him, it should produce boldness in us.

So the gospel of the faith of the son of God should not just be a subject to learn but it should be a lifestyle.

It should produce a life for us. It should make us desire to walk at a level of Boldness.

The emphasis in 1 John 4:17 was saying, “…that we may live fearlessly in the face of judgment” however, an average believer is afraid of the judgment day. The scripture we read is showing us how the love of God has been fully expressed to us to make us fearless toward the day of judgment

We should not be under teachings called the coming of the Lord, the Judgement seat that will make an average believer afraid of rapture.

If I have the understanding of the love of God and how it was expressed then I do not have such fear of the second coming. We are not only believing. We are joined with Christ. We are in union with Him. We have hope. We should be singing Maranatha-“come Lord Jesus.”

We should be glorying in Him in his coming. This understanding should be a tool in our hands. It should be our boldness and confidence. There are believers that trust teachers and teachings that make them scared.  We were given the reason in 1 John 4:17, That as He is, so are we in this world.

The love of God has produced boldness and given to us oneness against the day of judgement that can make us to be bold because of our oneness. Our boldness is not in anything that we can lay claim on but on the fact that His death is made available for us to be bold about our oneness. This is why we are not filled with fear of the second coming. This is why we do not have anything to be scared of. If our eternity is secured, then we should not have anything to be afraid of. We should not be worried about eternity. Our eternity is guaranteed. When it comes to the issue of oneness with Christ, we should all go to rest because our oneness in Christ has made us to be dressed in His righteousness.

This means they are faultless. His righteousness that we are dressed in alone makes us righteous.

What else should we be afraid of in our day-to-day life. What else should we be afraid of? Our eternity is secured. We should not be afraid of anything. We should not be afraid of economic change. If that fearful day is secured, on the premise that we are one with Him. Our oneness is what made us be bold in Him. If He is righteous, we are also righteous.

We are dressed in His righteousness alone, faultlessly dressed before the throne. This is guaranteed. His provision covers our eternity. We must take advantage of our understanding and we must engage the boldness we have.

We can ride on the understanding of our oneness with God, in Christ, with Christ, and also engage the goodness that has been produced in us by that understanding, in dealing with or addressing any other area of our lives. The love of God in us, fully expressed in us produced boldness to secure our eternity. That same love is what produced our healing. Healing cannot be considered to be close to our eternity, so if the issue of eternity is already permanently settled, what else should you be afraid of?

It is that boldness expressed by the knowledge of the love of God that formed the basis for the theology of Paul, in writing several things, and in giving explanations for several things. Paul speaking in the scriptures said, what can separate us from the love of God, is it height, depth, things present or things to come? He said, “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer, I can do all things.”

Once you have a thorough understanding of your oneness with God, you have the assurance that if sickness could not defeat Jesus, it cannot defeat you. We are one with him so we should be bold. Your boldness should be that whatever comes your way, you and Jesus are enough. Your oneness with Christ has what it takes to conquer, to have victory, to excel. The one that we are joined to is the risen lord, the resurrected Christ. If you understand that, you will understand that there are no limitations.

Faith for a believer is having a thorough understanding of what that oneness in Christ produced and provided, having boldness to operate in that understanding brings faith.

Union with Christ produced boldness and that boldness makes us declare the promises of God, that declaration is the faith.

This teaching is meant to bring you to a place where you operate, and boldly address challenges.

Form your vocabulary to an extent that you can tell challenges and situations that “I am a child of God”. Whatever would be Christ’s testimony in any situation should be your testimony – it should be a lifestyle. Regardless of what is happening now or what will happen – be aware that even if it’s not a good time, it is a God’s time.

Live this life to the Glory of God so that you cannot be stranded, regardless of what’s happening – it’s God’s time. The confidence and boldness you have is not drawn financially or from your bank account, your confidence is drawn from the premises that you are one with God and I have a union with Christ – and Christ cannot be stranded.

Regardless of finances and your economical life, you have to keep your faith and hold it tight. It’s the time to walk by faith and not by sight; a time to believe and trust God more, is now; a time to trust God for provision, is now.

This is not the first time famine will be in the land, whether in Nigeria or anywhere in the world and people have survived famine, men have survived famine. God told isaac  not to run that he should stay, he stayed, sowed and reaped 100 folds in the land.

We read Hebrews 11, and we saw all the words the writer used there, those words were very instructive and they determined and defined what we do with our lives per time. Words like obeyed, dwelled, refused, received, obtained; these words captured the way we live our lives on a daily basis, they are doing words, they are action words. They did all of that by faith, it was all by faith.

If they were able to come through all those things they did by their faith, the bible says we have a better faith. In the context of Hebrews 11, faith was the emphasis. So better things that we have received would have also been faith. Our faith now is boldness in our oneness with christ. That was what they couldn’t  see but we have it now, we have obtained it but the question now is are we maximizing it, are we fully manifesting the fulness of God, are we conscious of what is made available to us.

We cant use this faith, to only study the bible and speak in tongues, we will need it even on this side.

Even if all we are looking forward to is rapture, we know that it is settled, because of our oneness with Christ, we can’t be scared of rapture because as he is so we are and the scripture says we have boldness to stand on the day of judgement.

Ephesians 3:12 says in whom we have boldness and confidence by the faith of him. This simply implies that our boldness is on the basis of our faith in him.

2 Corinthians 3:12 Seeing that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. If we read from verse 7, the context was about the old covenant and the new covenant, comparing the past glory with the new glory. The glory of the old covenant was fading away, the new covenant is everything the father has done through Christ for us, it says since we have such hope, such hope makes us speak boldly.

Since we have such hope, it makes us speak with boldness. With the new covenant we can be very bold. Boldness has become our trademark on the premise of what the father has done for us. Paul recorded that we have such a hope that is better than even what Moses or David had. Paul said that since we have such hope, we can be very bold.

2 Corinthians 3:12

From the context of this scripture, the veil indicates fear and lack of confidence. One indicator of a bold person is his language. As a believer, we should be very deliberate about how we speak. We should always believe that things are working out for us.
