OUR ONENESS WITH CHRIST

Galatians 2:20; explains that we have been crucified with Christ, the death that killed him, killed us.

Colossians 2:9-13; The word  “Complete” in that scripture implies that what Jesus has we have, who he is, we are.

What happened to Jesus or  what he did became our faith. So therefore what the Father did with Jesus he did it with me. He killed him, he killed me, he crucified him, I was crucified, his ascension is my ascension because we are seated together.

How much you can comprehend in your reality in Christ, you should work with it.

Faith of the gospel is the faith that was produced by men hearing what the Father did in Christ and knowing it produces faith in us. And everything Christ did, he did it for us.

Faith that was produced by men hearing the good tidings. Believing it, hearing it, appropriating it as a way of producing faith- and that is the faith of the Son of God. That’s the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that He did that to a person, definitely he has done that to every one of us.

Beyond that the Father did it to His Son. We were buried together. We were raised together. Until the believer understands this then will he be able to be bold about his oneness in Christ.

We must comprehend our oneness with Christ so that we can be moved to a place we have boldness in that oneness. That’s the faith of the Son of God. Where Jesus can walk through I can walk through.

1 Corinthians 6:16-17  What? know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

To fully walk in the full comprehension of what the Father has done may take the whole of eternity.

Our Spirit at new birth is not inferior to the Spirit of God. It is not a lower version. The word Holy Spirit is that the writers were afraid to have written the “whole Spirit” of God.

If the emphasis is on the concept of our oneness with Christ we will not understand the boldness we have in Him. We have boldness because of our oneness.

1 John 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world

This is why we should not be afraid of the rapture if we have understood the concept of our oneness in Christ Jesus. The only thing that will give us boldness in the day of judgement is our oneness in Christ.

We should be bold. We look forward to the blessed appearance of God. The only man that is afraid is not yet one with Him.

Titus 2:11-13  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

The concept of righteousness is that we have not done anything. This is why the nature of righteousness precedes the act of righteousness.

No man in his walk with God cannot say on his own that he is faultless before God. The only man that will be dressed and standing faultless by the righteousness of God.

The nature of righteousness is now what is compelling us to do the acts of righteousness. If all that we have is the acts, we cannot produce it because all our righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord.

We have submitted to the righteousness of God. How did that come about? Because he that knew no sin became sin and we that knew sin were made righteous. The nature of righteousness in us is Christ’s nature, which starts to condition the tongue not to abuse. Before now you tend to be easily angered, but now you have submitted to the righteousness of God and the nature of God started working out in you. You no longer find yourself doing things you used to do. Something is happening, conditioning you, bowing to the righteousness of God and it’s forcing itself on a mortal man.

There is a nature of the righteousness of God compelling and constraining us not to do the things we used to do. Hellfire is not the reason we are still believers, it’s the love we have for Christ. Primarily we are resting and depending on the righteousness of God. We should not be afraid of rapture because we are always dressed in his righteousness, it does not matter when he shows up. We are one with him.

We are looking forward to Jesus’s appearance and we are not supposed to be afraid because we are dressed. We should live soberly and righteously in this present age.

Righteousness is primarily a gift of God, the nature of God before it became an act. If all you know about righteousness is an act, that is not enough, because the scriptures say our righteousness is like a filthy rags, so there must be something superior to that. There is something called exceeding righteousness.

The rate of boldness a man operates in is directly proportional to the level of understanding, and comprehension he has caught and the level of understanding he has about the oneness in Christ. It has a way of promoting boldness to the point where people mistake them for arrogance. We don’t need more power, we need more boldness. Boldness is not a function of how you feel, but what you know and what you need to know is your oneness in Christ.

4.

Boldness is not a function of how you feel rather it is what you know; and “what do you need to know? Your ones with Christ”.

From the book of Hebrews 2:10-11; we see clearly that even Jesus isn’t afraid to say we are one with Him, He is not denying our oneness with Him; there is no sense of superiority complex as it were hence He recognizes that what happened to us in Him has now made us one .

This consequently means the sanctifier is no longer superior to the sanctified, the righteousness of the sanctifier has been transferred to the sanctified .

Hence, the sanctified no longer walks and operates in his own righteousness but rather in the righteousness of the sanctifier.

Now this tells us that God/Christ is not ashamed of us ; it’s only men that’ll be ashamed of your past records.

So therefore wherever you find yourself let them know that “every saint has a past and every sinner has a future in Christ” understanding that “I live by the faith of the son of God ” will now mean “I live by the operational knowledge that what Christ did by the father affected me”. Hence we learnt faith more; it’s a lifestyle.

5.

Nobody will go to hell because he or she is a prostitute, they will go to hell because they refuse to  make available to themselves what was done on the cross. When Christ died on the cross, the prostitute and everyone’s account was credited with righteousness. You are the righteous who doesn’t understand the righteousness of God that refused to submit to the righteousness of God, so you live your life perpetually working out your righteousness.

From the day Christ died on the cross, our account was heavily loaded with righteousness, but you are a man or woman who did not understand righteousness. In fact, some people try to walk in their own righteousness and everything is still fluctuating , they can not walk in stability, in boldness.

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world. He said in this world, not in heaven , not when we be in christ forever. I have been able to establish to you clearly that there is something called oneness in Christ looking at the scriptures and this oneness in Christ is available to us. But the emphasis is that so what is faith in the context of our oneness with christ.

So faith will amount to my boldness in this oneness with christ. If it is established that as he is I am, and he further said in this word. So let me ask you when Jesus was in this world, how did he live, was he limited? They wanted to push him down but he walked away, he even slept in the midst of the storm, that was how he worked in this world. Jesus multiplied, he healed and also raised the dead. Jesus manifested the fullness of God, the fullness of God dwelled in him bodily. On the premise of our union, our oneness with God, we should also manifest the fullness of God because we are complete in him, he carries the fullness of God.

Now the question is are we manifesting the fullness of God regardless of our union. The problem is not that the fullness of God is not in us, not that we are not one together with him, the problem is that our mind needs to be renewed to come to that place of understanding and function with an understanding that we are one, we don’t act it, we don’t live it, we don’t walk in that reality.

And so faith of the son of God will mean, I cant do it but he can do it, but now we are one so we can do it. That’s our faith in the new testament, our faith is produced by what the father has done in Christ and what that death, burial, resurrection can make available, it can make available righteousness, salvation, people’s accounts are credited with righteousness.

People can be healed and delivered, so faith now for a new testament believer will be, I can’t do it, he can do it, and he has done it. The sanctifier is holding the sanctified, the righteous one is holding the ones that have become righteous in him. So we will raise the dead.

When they saw the lame man at the beautiful gate healed, they started hailing Peter, but Peter told them to calm down and let them know it is not by his holiness and power, he blew their bubbles and he pointed them to Jesus the healer and doer.

Acts 3:12

We will strive to allow the nature of God’s righteousness in us to find expression always in all we do and all we say. We will submit to the righteousness of God, and his righteousness will prevail over everything we do.

You should submit to the righteousness of God to prevail over your addiction, bad character and attitude. But, listen we will not bring good character to stand with God’s righteousness, it can never match.
