At some point in our life, we have submitted to the plan of God and the end result was that we can say of a truth that we can trust the plan of God for our life.
Romans 8:26-28 NKJV
” Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
The only way we have an assurance that whatever we are going through will work for our good is that we will back up that scripture above and read from context that in Verse 27, it is saying that the holy spirit makes intercession on our behalf and his intercession is not outside the will/plan of God.That is the guarantee we have that what is happening right now will work together for our good.
The only reason why we can trust the will and the plan of God is because we know that the holy ghost on our inside that is making intercession on our behalf is doing that in accordance to the will of God, that it is in alignment with what the father wants to do.
Verse 28 says “And we know” means that is where we draw our confidence from. Our confidence is drawn from the fact that we are in the will of God. And as long as we are in the will and plan of God, the scripture says whatsoever we are going through will work together for our good. Our life is in God’s hand and it is captured in the will/plan of God. Our life is an important component in the plan of the father.
If we don’t understand that our life is captured in the will and plan of God, at a certain point in our life we will doubt God. WE ARE NOT JUST IN THE PLAN OF GOD, WE ARE PLANNED FOR.
And sometimes for the will or plan of God to come to pass in our Life, there are situations that will be way beyond our imagination and sometimes we will not like that situation but that is the only way God can bring his plan and his will to pass in my life.
Sometimes because we are limited or weak and that is why the holy spirit will help our weakness or infirmity because we can’t fully capture everything God has for us with our natural mind. So we need the holy ghost to help us and that is why we pray in the holy ghost.
That is why we pray in the realm of the spirit because it goes beyond what we have understanding to pray for.. Our understanding is limited and if we want to pray alone in our understanding, we will not fully be in alignment with the will of God.
So we engage in prayer in the spirit or we should be encouraged to pray more in the spirit because at a certain point in our life, there are situations that we will be going through and we may not have a full understanding because we are limited in our understanding. The holy ghost super-imposes the will of God.
It will be difficult for us sometimes to submit, but if we align and allow the holy ghost and the holy ghost is taking upper hand in our mind or situation and helps us and we are helped and begin to pray and engage in the place of prayer, what that does is that it brings us into alignment with the will of the father.
That is why we should take advantage, even when we don’t know what to pray and the prayer point fails us, the holy ghost is available. Because there are certain times in our life that we will run out of prayer points.
What the holy ghost does is that it confines us to his will so that we don’t go out of his will. Because sometimes we don’t want to wait or submit but as we pray more in the holy ghost we are confined, we are tied in the will of God.
Sometimes we don’t like the present situation but the best thing that can happen to us is to be tied to his will. The Scripture says the holy ghost keeps us in check in the will of God. It is on that premise that we can say that “And we know”.
The only way we can say that “We know” is that we are in the will of God. That we are confined or tied to his will. If we are tied or confined to his will even if it does not look good right now, it will end good.
That is why when trouble hits us, we should not be like an unbeliever, what we should do is to quickly adjust our mind and begin to find out what is the will of God, what is God doing with our life. That should be the response of a child of God even in difficult situations. We should come to a place where we know that the devil cannot have the upper hand over our life.
When you are faced with an unfortunate situation, it is not the best time to lament but to take time out to discover the message for the season. Everything is confined to his will and because you are conscious of the will and plan of God and also engaging the help of the Holy Ghost in the place of prayer you will become more confined, restrained, helped, streamlined, your path is orchestrated. One thing the devil wants you to believe is that you are not in the will of God.
However, your life is planned for. As long as you are conscious of God’s plan, you should learn to trust him. This is the path the men of old followed that they can boldly call God Abba Father. God’s plan can be trusted. Abba Father is mindful of you. We must be conscious of the fact that Abba’s plan can be trusted. Scriptures have evidence.
The greatest plan of God is what is referred to as “the eternal plan of God” the plan of redemption. It’s because this plan has been tested and trusted that is why we can boldly call ourselves Christians and members of God’s family. God has this plan for a family to be gathered in him through Christ.
During the crucifixion of Jesus, it was part of God’s plan for him to be beaten, for the crown of thorns to be placed on his head and he will be buried, but the devil would have thought that was the end of Jesus but that was just the beginning.
On the third day Jesus resurrected that even Jesus had to believe in the plan of the father. God was mindful of every detail of the plan. The bones of Jesus could not be broken because it was part of the plan.
All of this is to let you know that God is mindful of you. He is such a detailed God that is mindful of every aspect of your life.
The plan for salvation is the biggest plan of God and that plan was fulfilled, but could not be thwarted, despite the plans of the enemies by giving money to the soldiers to guide the body of Jesus, for them to tell a fake story that the body of Jesus was stolen. That did not still stop the plan of God.
Through the eternal plan of God men were redeemed, delivered and saved. Jesus was the centrepiece of that plan.
Jesus at a point got tired of the will of God and was about to give up but he prayed.
It was the prayer he prayed that made him to be in alignment with the will of God. He stayed praying until the angel of God came and strengthened him.
If the devil can’t take you out of the will of God, it’s just a matter of time and what you are going through will work together for your good. Stay in the plan of God.
If the big plan of God for redemption could not be stopped, be rest assured that you will win.
God has never failed in any project.
He won victoriously. Today we celebrate that victory. If that plan of God can succeed, nothing can prevail against any opposition or contradiction or against any lie gang up against us.
Outside the eternal plan of God extends that we die but that through that there will be bringing of many sons unto glory.
The plan of God is the evidence that many sons will be brought to glory. The plan of God is still fought against today. Many are being opposed. It is a big project. It is a big plan.
The problem is that we feel our life is so complex.
There is another figure in the Bible concerning the plan of God.
This man is Joseph, from Genesis 35 to Genesis 50 talk about the evidence of the plan of God.
He passed through a lot. He was sold. He was framed up. We must not be in too much of a hurry to label someone backward. He looked backward as his mate moved ahead of him. However, it was the plan of God. We are limited to this understanding and we can be helped by the Holy Spirit.
For Joseph, it was the will of God. Yet, Joseph was not liked by his brothers. It looked more like he was a disadvantaged child. They sold him. They hated him.
Jacob by the spirit of God when prophesying said, the archer shot at him but his bough remained his strength.
Who Joseph was sold to was part of the plan. He needed to be sold where there could be a gang up, and he would be jailed.
There must be convergence between a baker and butler issue. This is why as a long as we are not meeting the right people the business will not go forward. He told the baker and the cupbearer that they should remember him when they are being set free by the king.
One day the king had a dream and the baker told the king about Joseph. It was part of the plan.
It was not the dream that Joseph dreamt of for many years that made him a prime minister. What made him a prime minister was that he had grown. He was not just dreaming alone. He left his father’s house as a dreamer but now an interpreter of dreams.
This is why we should never be found folding our hands. We must be found growing. He needs us to take action to progress to the agenda of God. While being a prime minister he had grown.
It was the plan of God that has made him to be sent ahead. Joseph said, God has sent me ahead of you.
Genesis 45:7-9 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
Joseph was not bitter. He was better. If Joseph had been found carrying mortar or bricks he would have fought with them.
There was no reason to be bitter to his brothers. Bitter people are people who have no reason to be happy. They are sad people and want people to be sad with them.
While he was going through the tough times, it did not look like that it was the plan of God. There was no good about being sent to jail and being lied against. As long as we stay in the plan of God, the plan of God will work out.
Abba Father is mindful of us. He has us in His mind. We are not just in His plan. He is mindful of us.
We must trust the plan of God for our lives.
The third figure concerning staying in the plan of God is Mary.
Matthew 1:18-21 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
It was legal for Joseph to want to deny the pregnancy of Mary. He had reasons not to continue with the wedding plan but the angel of the Lord visited him and encouraged him to stay.
The natural mind cannot accept such an offer. It is good that we learn to rely on the holy ghost to help our infirmities and be able to relate with what God is planning out for us. It was possible for Joseph to have missed out of God’s plan because ordinarily, no one will accept that. However, the angel of the Lord spoke to him that the child is of the holy ghost. He then gave Joseph instructions on what to do. He then took responsibility for the child Jesus. An ordinary man would not have been able to do this. It will require one who has allowed the holy ghost to help his infirmity to stay in line with and in accordance with the plan and purpose of God..
Matthew 5: 18 -24
When God interrupts your journey it is because he wants to impose his will and counsel over your life. There are divine interruptions that are part of the plan of the father. You may not submit until you have come to understand the plan of the father.
We should look forward to trusting the plan of the father and submitting to it. Most times we have a plan but can we submit to the plan of Abba? Jesus at a point cried in Prayers that if it is the will of the father then it should prevail.
Luke 22:42
Our father watches over us , he knows the number of hairs on our head. That is how he pays attention to us. Abba can be trusted; we will just ensure that we are in the centre of his will. When we are sure that this plan can be trusted. The safest place to be is not in any country but in the will of God. Allow men cheat you but you trust in the plan of God always.
Psalm 61:2
There’s a place of assurance of God’s presence and provision over your life. That you are secured in the hands of God. Sometimes, delay is part of God’s plan. The only way we can SURVIVE is not by operating in the arms of flesh but by coming to a place of superior understanding which is by interacting in the spirit.
And we know that all things work together for our good.
Romans 8:28
God is not selective about our life. He is making all things work together for our lives. He is mindful of every part of our lives. There is a plan in view which he is working on. We can trust him and his plan because we have tested and seen that he never fails. We only pray to align and submit to his plan.
