BECOMING A VESSEL FOR HIS AGENDA

Jeremiah 33:3 The Scripture says, “call unto me and I will answer thee. I will show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”

Great and mighty things are with the Lord, there are things that God wants to carry out but he said men should call unto him and he will answer them and he will show them great and mighty things. Men will only have privilege to see and to come into this as they call unto the lord.

So there is a place of men calling unto the lord. This scripture shows us that there are great and mighty things with the lord.

1 Corinthians 2:9-17

Whatever a man is unaware of, the spirit of God knows of it.,  But God wants to reveal deep things to us and the only way they can be revealed is through his spirit. Mortal man may not know but the spirit of God knows.

God is the one crafting his agenda, his purpose ,his intention. As God is crafting or designing those things, natural men don’t know what God is designing. But because we have the spirit of God, we can now design what he is designing by the spirit of God.

What Jeremiah described in chapter 33:3, is no longer the reality of a man in Christ. The man in Christ cannot say he does not know what God is doing if he has allowed the Spirit of God on his inside to help him to discern what is spiritually designed. So, as believers, as men in Christ, as saints of God, we have people that are privileged to know what is on the mind of God, what God is building, what God wants to do, the intention, the plan of God, the desire of God over the nations of the earth. We are men and women who,  if properly aligned, if we stay with God, if we seek the face of God, if we stay around the things that God is doing, we can actually discern them.

The same spirit in God that designed it, is the same spirit in us that can discern it.  The spirit that designed it lives in me, so I can discern it. The spirit of God on our inside knows. In fact, saying it knows, is an understatement because it’s the same spirit that designed it. You don’t have an inferior spirit

God is coding it, not because he’s hiding it away from you. God is coding it so that it will be accessible  to those men and women who have enjoyed grace and have received the spirit of God. So, he’s not hiding it away from us, he’s hiding it for us. He’s hiding it because they are precious things.

Sometimes many people can live for a hundred years and they may not pick up the plan, the agenda, or the purpose of God for their life. Also you can live by assumption thinking that is the purpose of God.

We looked at the life of Moses last week as an example. Moses felt that he was a deliverer. He sensed the anointing of a deliverer upon his life. He knew that if something had to come out of his life, he must do something, so, he started killing the Egyptians one by one, trying to do the will of God.  That was not the agenda of God. The agenda of God was not a one by one ministry, it was not a kill and bury ministry. The agenda of God was Exodus. God wanted to empty them in the sea once and for all.

Knowing what God wants is better for us and the way we can pick what God wants to do is by his spirit. It is to pick burdens, to pick up his will and plan. Everyone comes to drop the burden at the feet of God. Few people pick burdens at the feet of God.

Mary wasn’t the only virgin that God could use but she was the one that was able to pick up that burden . She became a vessel for the agenda of God and from that point, her salutations were different, just because she said Yes to the will of God.  All of us are favored, but some of us are highly favored.

She became a vessel for the agenda of God and from that point, the salutation was different. Some of us have struggles with doing the will of God, but we need to say yes to the will of God and be prompt about it. The beauty of obedience is in the promptness and eagerness to obey.

As long as we can promptly say yes to God, we are enrolled as vessels who can carry out his agenda. Mary said yes to the Lord and from that point her life was never the same again. There was a shift in her life from that moment.

Luke 2:25-37 reveals that God wants to do great things but the natural mind cannot access it, but only men that have the Spirit of God will be able to accomplish it. A man’s life is preserved when he is in alignment with God’s purpose. In the above Scripture, we find that death was not permitted to take Simeon until Jesus was born. Simeon must be a part of the plan of God. He needed to behold the will and agenda of God accomplished.

The emphasis is on “the spirit” because many people have missed out on the plan and purpose of God by their natural senses, because they are not conscious of the supernatural. Your life is not permitted to be ruled by your senses.

Apart from Simeon there was a woman called Hannah who was a widow for 84 years, waiting for the plan of God to come to materialization. She showed up everyday for 84 years, praying, waiting for the purpose of God to be revealed, waiting for the word of God to come to pass.

How long can you wait for the purposes of God to come pass?

Can men actually pick up the burdens of God?

1 Samuel 1:1-9  Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.

And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.

And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.

And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD (KJV).

But this particular year  Hannah came, she did not pray the same prayer that she had been praying. She was able to sense what God was doing. The burden in the heart of God was that God was looking for a prophet. There was a need for change of priesthood in the land. God was looking for a prophet while Hannah was looking for a child. There was a shift of understanding. She picked up the understanding that God is in need of a prophet. She said the Lord should give him a male child and she will give him back as a prophet.

We should always remember that the day our need collides with that of the Father, that’s when we have our breakthrough. Our prayer point at this point has ended. How did Hannah come to a point of knowing and reasoning that God was in need of a prophet.?

We claim that we have a burden and we drop it, if we do not see God’s burden our meeting is not complete.

‎Hannah picked up God’s burden. His burden was picked such that the womb that was once shut could later conceive and seven more sons came after Samuel. Carrying the purpose of God can end all our burdens. Saying yes and queuing behind the will and plan of God and being aligned with the plan and purpose of God will bring us to our point of rest. Hannah, once mocked, was now seen as being heavy with a baby. She had a different view of what the world had. She was seeing a son being given as prophet for the Lord. She knew this was for a generation. ‎When she was being delivered of the baby, she weaned Samuel and brought him before the Lord and came back home. Hannah dropped Samuel, like she does in the offering box. Hannah knew that the pipe that carries water does not dry up. It is a privilege to be used by God. Hannah carried Samuel and seven sons. A womb that was once shut. Hannah was not blind from seeing the purpose of God. Regardless  of our pain we must not be blind from seeing the purpose of God.

The other wife had been mocking Hannah but she eventually had hers. Hannah had a choice to keep Samuel. Her reasoning will be valid for doing that. One thing we can learn from her is not to let our pain hinder us from running with the plan and purposes of God. ‎Sometimes, pain redirects us to the plan of God. Sometimes, pain is the only thing God can use to redirect us. We are preserved and protected in this.‎ In the lowest moment of life we must constantly be in assurance that we are walking in the plan of the Lord. When we are mocked and celebrated we must say “yes” to the Lord. Hannah knew that if the Lord can use her womb to birth a prophet then He can use her womb to birth more sons.

‎It is a privilege to be used by God. Hannah was favoured by the Lord. Hannah was a vessel for God’s agenda. We become a vessel by having the burden for the Lord. This can come in the form of vision, task or stewardship. ‎A burden is what we have known and it makes one restless. It keeps us in check and gives us sleepless nights. A burden kept a woman alive for 84 years. We must tie our life to what God wants to do and we will be secured forever. A life that is useful to heaven is important. It is God’s benefit to be kept alive. What is the value of my life before heaven? It is embedded in the divine agenda of God. God is eager to put money in our hands if we are a vessel. Money is not found like the world says. It is by aligning to the will of God in being a vessel resources will be channelled.

There is something bigger than our lives. This something bigger cannot pass through us and leave us empty. We must be conscious of purpose and God’s ability. It is about the kingdom first. Anything we cannot do or we will do that will make us push the purpose of God to backseat is not of God. It is of the devil. ‎Whatever you are doing that will  reduce your passion from the Lord is an attack of the devil. This is because when we gather everything, they will all be rendered as nothing. You can’t say you are trying to pursue a purpose and you give up on God’s plan and assignment. If you say you want to complete  your pursuit and come to pick up ministry from where you left off, you would not be able to come back. Many have gone in that path, running after money but they didn’t make it back. It is safer to prioritize God’s assignment over your purpose. Put God first. Place a priority on his heart beat. Hannah waited 84 years for the birth of the messiah, she was at the temple day and night. Simeon didn’t die until he saw the salvation of Israel.

He looked forward to the appearance of the savior. In our case, we can’t travail until we have borne a burden. We need that burden to reconcile men back to God. We must catch that burden. We should be open as his spirit speaks so that our heart will align and agree to his will. God is eager to bless us than we are looking for the blessings. Gentiles seek after those things but we seek for his kingdom. Our father wants to build our muscles for most things we are clamouring to have. He understands that we need capacity to handle it.

God is interested in raising a giant out of you. Pick burdens from the Lord, don’t only go and drop your burdens. You can wait to know what the father is wanting to achieve on earth.
