MARVELOUSLY HELPED

2 Chronicles 26:15

This scripture tells us of a warrior who has devices for war and he got all required to always win each war. He had at his command skillful men and latest inventions. We were told that he was Marvellously Helped till he became strong. He was able to do better and get better results, he was able  to operate on a larger scale within his space of operation.

All of these existed because he was Marvellously Helped till he became strong.

He enjoyed continuous and consistent help until he became strong. It wasn’t a one off help or a short lived help. This man enjoyed continuous help. The help was goal oriented. The focus was till the man became strong.

2 Chronicles 26:15

As a family, we have come to a season of help. That man became very strong because of the help he received from God.

For us God is not just interested in helping us; rather, he is  much more interested in consistently and continuously helping us till we become the very thing he wants us to be.

The inflow of God’s help on a man abides.

The only explanation that the scripture says is that he was wonderfully helped. In this theme we are talking about how we are supernaturally helped. We are talking about the help that makes a  man expand. We are talking of the help that set men on the platform.

God is not interested in not only helping me but much more consistently in helping us, until we become the very thing He wants us to become. His help abides forever.

It will not be for a short while. If it is God that provided that it will not be short lived.  To be where God has ordained us to be, the help of the Lord will reposition us.

God will move us forward. It is not only about rewriting our stories on salvation but also things that pertain to us. We are helped by God.

A man that looks like he cannot amount to anything good can be helped by God and his story can change. This is why we must be full of expectation.

This theme is more of a declaration. Two things we will see is that we will become bigger and better. We’ll scale up. We will get established and rooted till we are well built up. The help of God did not stop flowing into his life until he became marvellously helped by the Lord.

Psalms 121:1

I will lift up my eyes to the hill. From whence cometh my help?

My help comes from the Lord who makes heaven and earth.

No man can help us until God can help us. The proof that God has helped us is that men helped us. He orchestrated things for our sake. The proof that God has helped us is that we are helped of men. He will not come down to help but send men to us. We will be able to see men that He has organized for us. This is why if care is not taken, when a man speaks about how he was helped, we may try to point to someone that helped such a person.

However, the truth of the matter is that no man can help another. How far a man can be taken is how far THE HELPER’S hand can get. However, there is a hand that is greater than that of a man.

The Psalmist shows us his source of help and introduces us to the capacity of his helper.

What the Psalmist establishes for us is the source of our strength and the capacity of the helper.

Many times, we are all in need of help. Everybody comes to church but we do not know where they go to seek help.

Isaiah 31:1

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD

We must know the source of our help and the strength of our helper. Knowing the strength of your helper is very important.

How far a man will go in life is a function of the quality of help who the helper is and God is the helper of all men. If it is men that organise the help for a man, such men will need to sustain the help.

However, when God organises the help there is no need to sustain such help. He will be the one sponsoring and driving the help. God is the real helper and the sole helper. He is the source of help. God is our helper. If it is God, He is not limited.

He controls all things. He is the one that made the heavens and the earth and everything needed to survive is still in heaven and earth. As a matter of fact, what is needed to survive on this side of eternity is on the earth not in heaven. If the one that made the heavens and earth is your helper, then you can go and rest. It will be an abnormality to rely on the created when the creator is available.

You will begin to understand that when you read further the account of David and his encounters.

In Psalm 3: 2 we see that many people say there is no help for them in God. God wanted to anoint a king in the house of Jesse, and Samuel went to the house of Jesse to request for his sons to be anointed. They all paraded, but the oil refused to pour from the jar. Then he asked if anybody else existed in the house. They didn’t even remember that David was in the house, because he was born out of wedlock. He was not qualified to be the king. Then David was sent for. As David approached, the jar of oil popped open and the oil started flowing.

That’s why when David wrote, he said, “he anointed my head in the presence of my enemies, my cup runneth over.”

Psalm 23:5-6

It is clear that David was not meant to be king because of his background, it would have been contended, but God chose him. David understood that if God is your helper he has a way of lifting one out of the backside to the palace and anoint them in front of everyone that seems qualified.

You need to be well rooted in your understanding and knowledge of who your source is. So David knew quite well that if the Lord will not lift a man, no man can be lifted. In the journey of life without the help of God, life becomes hard, full of struggles. The help of God simplifies the journey of a man. What will usually take men one year to do, can be done in one month. What others labour to get comes to them easily.

The help of God has a way of simplifying the journey of a man; it makes it sweeter.

Hence always declare that you are marvellously helped be it day or night; in the midst of whatever you’re dealing with God will not back out on you until you become what the father has ordained you to be and this is because whatever the Lord does abides forever. “There is no reverse testimony in God”.

In the scriptures when David said you’re my shield, my glory and the lifter of my head,

He didn’t mean mere words; he understood that God was his shield ; his glory and above all the lifter of men because he has enjoyed all of this from the father; hence David spoke from experience and divine understanding.

Psalm 3:3

There is a component of time that is important in the journey of man’s life, it’s not meant to make you desperate and hasty but that’s rather how life is organised. Men have stories. And stories of men God has changed are on the premise that the help of God locates men.

I’m marvellously, greatly and exceptionally helped.

The things you are not qualified for, God can actually reserve them for you.

Places where you don’t belong, he can open the door by himself.

He can bring you to the class and caliber of men you have never dreamt to mingle with.

I’m a man helped by the Lord. In days to come, when men are looking for the definition of God, when men want to describe what the help of God looks like, they will remember your case too.

I am marvellously helped. Great is the help I received from the Lord.

A season can turn a man’s life around, when the favour and the help of God is available.
