Our theme for this month is peace by all means.
2 Thessalonians 3:16, reveals that God is so intentional about our peace and he has not left any area uncovered. He has put things in place for our peace. He knows what pertains to your peace. He has put in place the provision for our peace by all means in every situation. There is no situation that God has not provided peace for. So if you are not finding that peace in that situation in that season of your life, what that means is that, you are the one that has not been able to lay hold on the peace that God has provided for you.
No situation or season can catch God unaware. The provision for peace is available for all situations. God is building and raising his children to a point where they can lay hold on peace first even before their expectations get to them. With or without your expectations, a believer should have peace.
1Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”The first thing God will actually make provision for is not the car, not the money we are looking for. The first thing God will give a man that is praying for desiring a thing is not money, God can by his mercy give people who have not grown, money quickly so that the don’t end up in mental home but the first thing God will give a man is THE PEACE OF GOD.The peace of God has a characteristics, when the peace of God hits a man, he will forget what he is are looking for and his mind will be on God such that people around him will be amazed. It is not that we are not still in need but what came or what we received surpasses our need.
The peace of God surpasses all understanding that even we ourselves are wondering why we are not worried in a place or situation where we should be worried. The provision for peace of God comes before the provision for the need of a man. For a child of God that is growing in the lord, who is following the lord, trained by God, one major character of their life is that the peace of God has come. What a believer should watch out for is the peace of God. The peace of God is God’s strategy, a weapon, a tool, is a necessity for a believer’s wholesomeness and for winning in life. The peace of God is essential in the life of a believer to overcome. We should understand that as we are growing in the lord, he takes us to a place where provision of his peace can settle us down before what we desire will come. Believers should come to a point where they can testify of the peace of God before the arrival of what they are in need of.
A believer’s life can be a testament or template such that people around will wonder why you are calm during the tough times of their life. The peace of God becomes a tool for wholesomeness. It becomes a winning strategy for believers and it supersedes everything.
It takes the peace of God to enjoy the blessings or the goodness of God. It is the peace of God that makes you enjoy the job, the home etc.
There are areas of your life that you’re yet to receive answers but the peace of God is present there, you are just waiting for the goodness of God to show.
One of the successful tool needed for a successful living is the peace of God. The peace of God is very essential in your walk with God. The first thing the devil is after is the peace of God not the good things of your life. The dynamics of God is to quickly bring you to the place of the peace of God while you are waiting for what you need but the devil doesn’t want you to arrive there or if you’re there he wants to pull you out. God primarily wants you to have the peace of God. God is maturing us to a place where we can thank him before the good and the blessing arrives. You are still a baby if until the miracle touches your hand you live in peace; infact the peace you have is not genuine.
The test of maturity and growth is even while the things you are trusting God for has not come, you have the peace of God
Isaiah 26:3
[3] You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
God is in hurry to keep you in peace. He wants you to have peace, to operate in peace.
When it comes to salvation, the first provision of the peace of God is that we were saved to have peace with God. The essence of salvation is to bring man to a place where he has peace with God
The man that his mind is stayed on God operates in perfect peace
No situation or seasons can catch us unaware. There is provision for the peace of God. We are not the first to come into such seasons as there were testimonies of men that came out of such seasons.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (KJV).
The peace of God does not stop us from believing God and making us not desire what God wants to do but that we are confident about what He said He is going to do.
The peace of God transcends human understanding. It is overwhelming.
Salvation is set up for our peace. It was to make man to be in peace with God.
Psalms 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them (KJV).
People in peace do not fall apart like a pack of cards. They are intact. They are whole. They understand wholesome. Everything fits.
When we go through situations and seasons to make things fall apart we are kept and intact.
The lovers of God are always intact. They do not fall apart. The peace of God becomes a tool and strategy, essential for our journey in life. If anybody needs to be stable in their career, ministry and different areas of life he or she needs the peace of God.
We cannot be so certain about seasons and circumstances we should be guaranteed about our peace. We should not be worried about the situations. The storms will blow and go but we will still be intact.
Once a man’s mind is stayed on God, He will keep him in perfect peace. Regardless of all things , one thing we should be assured of as we grow as a believer is to enter into seasons and situations of life. One thing that is constant, perfect and perpetual is the peace of God.
Every other thing can fall out but we should not fall apart. Anyone that his mind is stayed on God, the scripture says, “He will keep him.”
This means we will not be ruffled, offended, crumbled or stumbled. In any circumstance there is provision for the peace of God.
You can’t fall under any weight because of the peace of God.
Psalm 85:8
God speaks and gives peace. We have a responsibility to walk into the peace that was provided by God.
While God has provided a means for us to have peace, man devise ways for himself.
If we would continue to enjoy the peace of God, we have a responsibility to walk in the provision of peace that he has made available.
Peace can become an atmosphere. You can create a barricade around yourself with peace.
