Our oneness with the fathers makes us bold before him. Therefore, when we pray we do so in faith. Prayer is important and we must do it in faith and by faith. If it is not in faith and by faith then it is not necessary.
We must do it confidently knowing the fact that we are one with the father, and that he listens to us and he hears us.And because we are one with him we know the will of God so we cannot pray amiss. We pray in accordance to the will of God
1 John 5:4-5 explains that the victory that overcomes the world is our Faith. And whosoever believes that Jesus is the son of God overcomes the world.
To have a prevailing life is dependent on our faith. And our faith is the faith of the son of God.
Living a prevailing life is hanging on two major things that a believer is meant to embrace which is: A life of prayer and the life of the word of God.
To live a prevailing life is centered on you growing consistently. The more we take our time to keep learning about the faith of the son of God, the more we are empowered to live a prevailing life.
The word “Prevail” means to prove more powerful or superior. It means to overcome, to succeed, to thrive in the midst of difficulties and circumstances. To become dominant, to win out, to wear out, to achieve victory, to triumph.
When a believer engages the Spirit of God in a situation and rejoices over such situations, he is changing the atmosphere and altering the atmosphere in imposing a superior one. We are making the situation to bow to the possibilities of God. We are enforcing the possibilities of God. We are telling the situations to bow to the will of the Father.
It means to prove too powerful to wear out. Situations can wear out a man, this is because of the tenacity of a particular situation. It is a possibility of ours to wear out situations and circumstances. We must win out. We must triumph. That is what our Bible says our faith can give us. It is the victory that overcome.
Faith is the knowledge of what Christ has done. This faith is from that knowledge. That is the faith of the Son of God- a functional tool to overcome and prevail over circumstance. It is better to pray with such understanding. It has to be well rounded and be applied, and this will produce boldness. On that basis we decree. We demand. We stop the mouth of the lion. On that premise, although the patriarchs did in stopping the mouth of the lions, we are being provided a better thing. This is the faith of the Son of God. Now the question is: how many lions’ mouths have we been able to stop. The question is how many edges of the sword have we escaped. Ours may not be a physical lion. It may be the operation and the activities of the devil. The oppression of the devil can be.
The scripture says we have a faith to stop the mouth of a lion. We can disarm the forces and activities of the devil. We paralyze, frustrate the operations of the work of the enemy. Sometimes what the devil is doing we may not see it in going about our daily activities. This is because the mouth of the lion is stopped.
Hebrews 11:33-37
The operations of the evil one are stopped. There are many incantations or divinations that are done to us however we must bear in mind that the mouth of the lion is stopped. This is why such divinations are being neutralized. We can bring dominion. We can prevail.
We can succeed. We can triumph. We can wear situations and circumstances.
However, we are standing in faith. We are standing in confidence. The thing just faded away. We are able to wear it out. This is because there were no physical changes as it were.
We may be going through some tough times and we demand such circumstances be changed. We would figure out the situation may not change but we were able to come out of it. We are able to overcome it. We are able to wear it out. Such that we are standing. We are standing in the will of God. We prevail. We did not give up. We did not throw in the trowel. We are not given to complaining. We are standing and waiting for the salvation of the Lord. We must keep telling the situations that we would wear them out.
In our praying and decreeing over such situations we must learn to be still and wait for the salvation of the Lord.
It may not be easy to decree the word of God while the situation still persist. We must keep rejoicing. We must keep saying we believe Him and also we are holding on to Him.
Sometimes we may not know all the prayers we need to pray again. We prayed all the prayers. The next thing to do is to be still and wait upon the salvation of the Lord.
Such that some people will want to give you counsel, or advice.
Keep holding on to God. It is that kind of situation that faith is required. That kind of faith is called the prevailing faith. It is the faith of God in your life that can wear out things. Faith is the victory that overcomes. This is the prevailing faith. The word prevail means to wear out, succeed, overcome, triumph, prove more powerful and superior, imposing the possibility of God, holding on until God brings testimony.
The times we are in now are enough for us to know that we are not just meant to barely survive but thrive, and prevail, and that’s the victory, our faith. We have an overcoming and prevailing faith. Amid the distress of nations, that is the best time to pull out your faith. Faith is more than a subject to learn, it’s a lifestyle, a weapon. Faith is becoming a tool to wear out all the oppression of the devil, a system to shut down the mouth of the devil.
In Ephesians 6:10, we see that we need to stand against the wiles of the devil at some point in our lives, no retreat, no surrender. We also see that we can hold faith as a shield. A shield is used to protect against the darts, and arrows of the wicked ones. Faith must be more than a subject matter.

With faith, you can quench the fiery darts of the wicked ones. Faith must be more than a subject matter or a topic. Studying faith is a good place to start but a time will come, most especially in such a time that we are where faith will be more than a subject matter, faith will become a shield, it will become a weapon and it will be quenching the fiery darts of the wicked ones. You stop, you disharm, you quench, you frustrate the plans of the evil ones with faith.
The reason why I love the faith of God is that it is different from my faith, if it is my faith, I may wake up one day and my faith may be deflated, and I feel depressed and as a result , I feel vulnerable to the fiery darts of the the wicked ones, but the faith in me is that of the son of God, I sleep and wake up with it, I am dressed in it, it is beyond the physical, the faith of the son of God is a life. He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
Our dwelling is our confidence which produces prevailing faith in us. Our faith is conquering, our faith is winning, our faith is prevailing, our faith is having dominion over situation and circumstances. Faith is beyond a subject matter, it is a tool in our hands.
We need our faith now more than ever before. We need to stand strong in the Lord and in our faith. We should believe in God for possibilities in situations and circumstances. We should trust that he would come through for us. We would keep forging ahead. We would thrive, it will be on record that we prevailed. We would bring forth fruit in season and out of season, this is because we are planted by the rivers of water. Our supply is not cut off or affected, our source is intact. Our root is connected to the source. We have a source in God which cannot run dry. We should learn to dictate and alter the atmosphere in our favor.
